IN HIM

In Him we live and move and have our being.
~ Acts 17:28 ~

We in He.

He is air
without which we would die
immediately
yet we take it for granted
always there
everywhere
but never seen

He is soil
rich
fertile
full of life
if we would but sink
our roots deep
but
this takes
time
this takes
stillness

He is the sun
provider of life
and warmth
and wellbeing
reflected
in nightly wanderers
and moonlight
guiding and
faithful each day

He is water
cool
and refreshing
in a blistering hot life
cleansing
and running over
fathomless depths
that beckon to deep

our fallow soil
broken up
our parched spirit
soaking up
the Seed of redemption
planted deep inside
a tiny shoot
following the sun
roots seeking
the depths
of His word
growing upwards
ever upwards
ever growing
slowly
growing
perfectly
always
in Him.
