RANDOM BEAUTY

Thank you, Lord, for

random beauty.

Sunflowers on the side

of a dry, hot, dusty road.

A hawk soaring

just overhead

close enough to see

the pattern of it’s feathers.

Cloud formations

that look like

turtles.

Itty bitty

puppy breath.

A quiet pine forest

flocked in snow.

A kitten’s purr.

A warm smile.

Shared.

A kind gesture.

A gentle word.

A loving hug.

A child’s laugh

somewhere in the store

a few aisles over.

Thank You, Lord.

Please make me

more

aware

of the random beauty

You sprinkle

my day with.

Every day.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen.
